Welcome to the Armenian Education Center
Our Mission
We are a grassroots organization founded by people who oppose all human rights violations. Since the end of the 19th century, genocide has claimed the lives of countless innocent people.
The Armenian Education Center is committed to providing resources to assist teachers as they educate their students about the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923; it is often referred to as “the Forgotten Genocide”.
The Members section of the website introduces the members of the
Education Center who are presently serving by freely giving their time and support.
The section on Teaching Resources provides an excellent 15-20
minute lesson plan along with a link to a 5 minute film report by the late ABC news anchor, Peter Jennings, support material, maps, historical background, vocabulary definitions, as well as an updated bibliography, and web sites, all of which support Virginia’s SOL for World History II, 12b.
The FAQ section will answer many questions about The Armenian Genocide of 1915.
Our Links have been carefully chosen to provide you with a great deal
of information about the The Armenian Genocide of 1915.
The About Us section offers insight into our activities, and why we developed the lesson plan for the World History II teachers in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Contact section contains the necessary information to contact The
Education Center.
We hope you have a productive visit to our website.
